Today, we had the honor of hosting the “Cybersecurity in the Energy Sector” event, in partnership with Aspen Institute Romania, Fortinet, and Bit Sentinel. This gathering brought together key players from Romania’s energy industry, public and private utilities, and government representatives to discuss the future of cybersecurity in one of the nation’s most critical sectors.
Andrei Popa, advisor to the Minister of Energy, delivered a compelling keynote, emphasizing Romania’s progress in cybersecurity legislation while acknowledging the work still to be done. The Ministry of Energy’s initiative to establish a Cyber Incident Response Center is a bold step forward, ensuring that the public and private sectors work together to secure critical infrastructure. At SentryOT, we share this vision: the future of OT cybersecurity in Romania must be built on partnerships between utilities, technology companies, and government agencies, all aligned under a common purpose.
